I’ve run into a small issue with the larger 2700mAh batteries for my Phantom 1. The battery is so big that I have to put it in backward so that the cables can fit inside the unit. Squishing the cables inside has caused this problem:
Hi,
How did you repair that break? My battery connector has developed a similar issue where the grey lead insulation has pulled away from the heat shrink tubing. And a few of the exposed thin wires are broken. 🙁 For the moment I have wrapped some insulating tape round it- as soldering is not my strongest strength. Though think I will need to learn! This issue occured with the stock DJI batteries.
I’ve used liquid electrical tape for situations like the wire shielding cracking. If the wires themselves are beginning to fray, soldering new connections is your only option. Don’t wait until something bad happens!
